Dear Esme.....The Beginning

To everyone's relief (especially your Dad) this will not be your name when you are born. But just remember that it could of been worse since your Dad wanted to name you Jinx, Apple or a number.


Esme is from the book "Delusions of Grandma" by Carrie Fisher. You'll know her work as being Princess Leia from the Star Wars movies. Something that you will probably be watching from the delivery room at Harris Hospital HEB.


So what are we going to do when you are ready to be born? Well this is what we have planned (so far):

You will be born at Harris HEB hospital. I used to work there in the Radiology Department doing administrative work (and you'll have a couple of "aunts" and "grandma's" there. Your Daddy was born there. And all of your "Aunts" and "grandma's" who work across the street with me will be able to stop by and see you before during and after work. Grandma Velma hopes that you will be born on a Friday or the weekend so she can stay and spoil you with all the other grandma's that you have.

Your doctor will be Dr Prentice who has an office one floor up from where I work.

Star Wars movies WILL be playing.

And unlike our wedding no Stormtrooper guarding the door....Yet. :)
